Quiksilver is back!

On November 26th, we checked out the re-launch of Quiksilver Roxy at the Bagatelle Mall of Mauritius. The mall offers a great number of shops that serve tourists and residents alike and on November 26, it was the home of a great big 12 hour beach party themed re-launch. It was a well-executed launch with much hype, buzz, fun, and fanfare. There was plenty of swag to be had, loads of photos taken, some press, and no one left the brand new store empty-handed!

Leading up to the event, the island was buzzing with news of the Quiksilver re-launch as the Quiksilver mobile cruised the island with swimwear clad hostesses who passed out flyers to promote the event. That Quiksilver mobile sure got the attention of many! jeep

The beach party re-launch happened from ten o’clock in the morning until ten o’clock at night and offered fun, prizes, face painting, and a surf board game that was a whole lot like mechanical bull riding. (It’s not as easy as it looks!)

The store personified surfing with a beach party atmosphere. With great décor, great merchandise, and a total surfing feel, it was a great success and broadcasted by Radio One from 1 o’clock to 3 o’clock. People paraded in with their branded clothing to see what prizes they would win for turning up sporting the logos and many left with even more Quiksilver and Roxy logos in hand. Many prizes were awarded including quite a few gift certificates for free merchandise.

Quiksilver offers great merchandise, including clothing and gear for surfing, skiing, and skateboarding and has several stores throughout the island. In addition to the Bagatelle store at the new Mall of Mauritius, another new store is at Quatre Bornes in the old Bank One location. Additional existing stores are located at at Harbour Front in Port-Louis, Super U Grand-Baie, Magic Lantern in Rose Hill, Jumbo Riche Terre and the Trianon Shopping Park.

All existing Quiksilver Roxy stores got (or are in the midst of getting) top to bottom makeovers and from what we’ve seen, this company has sufficiently generated great excitement with their launch and their great new store design. Several of our team members are looking forward to shopping there more often.

These guys really know how to throw a party!
